Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts

Since 1994, WaterAid has been delighted to be one of the main charities supported by the world renowned Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, and its organiser Michael Eavis.

The event requires over one million gallons of water, and sanitation becomes a major concern when turning this 900 acre dairy farm into a gigantic, bustling tented city.

Sing for Water

Since 2002, Sing for Water events have raised over £150,000 for WaterAid. This money has been directed into bringing clean water, sanitation and hygiene education to rural communities in Ghana and India.

With a massive annual event at the Thames Festival in London, as well as others around the UK and the world, Sing for Water is a growing musical movement and great fun to take part in too!

The Big National Ceidlidh

Saturday 17 October 2009 saw thousands up and down the country dancing to the sounds of traditional folk music to raise funds for WaterAid.

On this site you can find out more about the event, find a dance near you or download a fundraising pack and organise your own.

Even if you've never been to a ceilidh before, running your own couldn't be easier!

Live for Love

Live for Love is a massive music festival in Japan, and in 2009 WaterAid is delighted that it will be supporting WaterAid - hopefully raising more than £100,000!

WOMAD - World of Music and Dance

In 2005, WaterAid was a major presence at the WOMAD festival in Reading. The weekend provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with the public and help spread WaterAid's messages of the need for clean water and effective sanitation for all.
