Last year saw the first Run to the Beat, London's new concept half marathon, where scientifically selected live music was played throughout the route to boost the spirits of the 12,500 runners.
The second Run to the Beat half marathon will take place on 27 September 2009 at the O2 Arena. Entry costs £33 and participants need to have turned 18 by 31 December 2008. The 2008 event sold out very quickly, so as places are allocated on a first come first served basis apply now on the Run to the Beat website! (link opens in a new window)
Once you have entered please complete our registration form or alternatively call us on 0845 6000 433, or email events@wateraid.org. WaterAid will be there to support you every step of the way in your preparations for the race. All our runners receive:
- An online sponsorship page
- A comprehensive fundraising and information pack
- Continuous advice and support from WaterAid's experienced events team
- A coveted WaterAid running vest
Music is as central to Run to the Beat as running and fitness so this is a great event for music lovers as well as runners. Whether you are looking for a step up from last year's 10k, or are interested in trying something new this could be the ideal event.
