Enjoying a previous Severn Trent Mountain Challenge.

The Severn Trent Mountain Cycle Challenge has been running for over 16 years and the 2009 event raised £49,000. Our thanks goes to everyone who helps organise and takes part in the event.

When?
This year's event is taking place on Saturday 10th July 2010.

You can choose to take part in either the Mountain or Cycle Challenge. There are also two mini-courses, so there really is something to suit every ability!

Please note:
Online registration for the 2010 event will open 1st April 2010.

What?
Walk 10, 20 or 30 miles or alternatively cycle 13, 30 or 60 miles in the glorious Peak District - the choice is yours! (Distances are approximate.)

Where?
Across the Dark Peak Area of Derbyshire starting and ending at Hope Valley College, Castleton Road, Hope.

To take part you must Comply with age restrictions for both the cycling and walking events as set out in the Challenge Rules.

To minimize the environmental impact of the challenge, a maximum of 80 walking teams and 50 cycle teams will be allowed to take part.

We therefore recommend that you look out for announcements to register your team and guarantee your place! Teams will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Fundraising and event resources

We recommend you set up an online fundraising page through www.justgiving.com/wateraid - select Severn Trent Mountain Challenge from the WaterAid events list. Full instructions are available on the site.  The online page maximises gift aid and is quick and easy, you can add your page link to your own email footer! 

Alternatively, you can collect fundraising sponsorship offline via our paper sponsorship form (Adobe Acrobat Document PDF 243Kb).
