Walk for water

Sponsored Walk to Swanage on Sunday 11 May 2008

  • 10 miles from Branksome Dene Chine, Pinewood Road, Poole. Starting between 10:00 and 12:00.
  • 6 miles from Shell Bay Car Park, Studland.
    Starting between 11:00 and 15:00.

For walkers taking part in the 16 and 10 mile routes, transport is available from Swanage to the start points if required. A coach leaves the Coach Park in Victoria Avenue, Swanage at 09:00. Booking is essential.

The walk route is varied, starting along the Bournemouth promenade and continuing along the seafront to the entrance to Poole Harbour where walkers will cross on the Ferry to Studland. Then they will walk long the beach to Studland village and finally cross Ballard Down, which has excellent views all around, ending in Swanage, the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast and a World Heritage Site.
