The Great British Duck Race
A new world record was set on Sunday 31 August, when 175,000 ducks were released into the Thames at this year's Great British Duck Race!
In pouring rain on "Duck Day", the blue ducks were dropped into Molesey Lock near Hampton Court. The race lasted a thrilling two hours with the ducks crossing the finish line a whopping 1 kilometer down the Thames at Albany Reach.
Despite the heavy rain, over 3,000 people came down to cheer their ducks on and visit the various charity and entertainment stands.
One of the most popular attractions of the day was the WaterAid stand, where children (and their parents) had great fun playing our Poopla game, throwing fake poos in toilets!
For WaterAid, being one of the official charities, this years Great British Duck Race was a huge success and we would like to thank all the schools and companies for supporting us through selling ducks for WaterAid.
