WaterAid’s unique partnership with Belu has taken another exciting turn, with the ethical water brand launching a new, specially-designed bottle with the Cobra Foundation.

As with all Belu water bottles, 100% of profits from the still and sparkling bottles will be donated to WaterAid and used to fund our work in South Asia, transforming lives through access to clean water and safe toilets.

Creating social change

The Cobra Foundation is the charity of Cobra Beer, and provides health, education and community support in South Asia.

Their partnership with Belu came about thanks to a shared goal of creating social change, and an opportunity to give the Ethnic Restaurant Sector (ERS) a real reason to choose a specific water brand for the first time.

Many owners and staff in the ERS – in which Cobra Beer already enjoys a 98% market share – have personal links to South Asia, where the money raised from sales of the co-branded bottles will be spent.

An even greater impact

“I am delighted and honoured to have this opportunity to work with Belu to give the Cobra Foundation’s work an even greater impact,” said Lord Bilimoria CBE, Founder of Cobra Beer.

“The difference WaterAid makes in places like South Asia is huge. They are saving lives every day and I'm humbled that the Cobra Foundation can be a part of that.”

Barbara Frost, Chief Executive of WaterAid, added: “The awareness and money raised by bringing Belu to even more restaurants across the UK will support our work transforming people’s lives through clean water, hygiene and sanitation.

“Every time you choose to drink Belu water, you are supporting WaterAid’s vital life-giving work.”
