Congratulations to Danny Brown, 14, who won MyKindaCrowd’s competition to design a new environmentally friendly loo with his stylish idea!

Danny’s winning design featured a rainwater collection tank, an adjustable flush and a modern design. His prize will be a day shadowing Barbara Frost, WaterAid’s Chief Executive, to learn about how an international development charity works.

Barbara Frost said, ‘We saw some great entries to the competition, which really seems to have inspired young people to think about how important toilets are.”

We received lots of entries, and chose four runners up:

  • Matthew Reale designed an ‘Eco toilet’.
  • Linzi, Kem and Cara designed ‘Toilette a compost’.
  • Finlay, John and Murdo designed the ‘Eco Poo’.
  • Andrew and Kerridwen designed the ‘Turdis’.

MyKindaCrowd sets challenges on its website, giving young people the chance to engage with the world of business. As part of our Thank you, toilet celebrations for World Water Day in November, MyKindaCrowd set a challenge to design an environmentally friendly toilet.
