Starting difficult conversations

Never afraid to challenge a taboo, we are asking our supporters to consider the world after they have passed away.

At WaterAid, we pride ourselves on asking difficult questions and challenging taboos. We're not afraid to lead bold conversations, for example around the delicate issue of the cultural practices that surround menstruation.

But asking people to think about the world after their death is a tough one even for us.

Everyone wants to make their mark on the world, but no matter what stage of life you're at, having a conversation with your loved ones about what to do after you die can be difficult. That's why we've made a film - which we'll also be sharing on our Facebook page - to help you start the conversation.

Our vision is a world filled with healthy, happy children, who can simply turn on a tap to get safe, clean water and have somewhere decent to go to the toilet – essential for life and essential for allowing them the opportunity to attend school and fulfil their potential.

Many people are choosing to leave us a share of their estate to help us achieve that vision, and we hope that by creating this film we can spark debate and encourage more people to consider a gift to WaterAid in their will.

Join the conversation on our Facebook page and find out more about leaving a gift in your will by completing the form below.
