WaterAid at Glastonbury 2014

At this year's Glastonbury Festival, WaterAid will set up water kiosks around the site, stocking reusable bottles and cups and offering free refills.

The kiosks will be similar to those used in our own projects around the world. While filling up, people will be able to learn more about our mission to ensure everyone, everywhere has safe water and sanitation by 2030.

WaterAid and Raw Foundation

The water bottle is part of Making Waves, a campaign lead by Raw Foundation and Glastonbury to reduce the amount of single-use plastic used and brought onto festival sites.

The effects these types of plastics have on the environment are huge – with an estimated 150 million tonnes of plastic currently littering our earth and oceans.

Our message

We will be reminding festival-goers how lucky we are to have taps and safe water sources in the UK – so rather than buying plastic bottles that will ruin the site, buy a reusable cup or bottle and drink our fresh tap water all festival!
