This winter we will be using mobile phones, blogging and social media to go behind the scenes and to the heart of a live project in Adi Sibhat, a small village in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. We will be joining an amazing community of proud people who are about to get life-changing clean water for the first time, helping lift them out of poverty. We want to share the Big Pipe Project with as many people as possible, which is where you come in! What do I need to do? You have a powerful thing to offer: a network of fantastic people who, together, can really make a difference. All you need to do is go to the Thunderclap website (or use the panel on this page), where you will be asked to give your permission to 'lend' us a tweet, Facebook or Tumblr update. Then, on Monday 4 November, the social media update will go out, together with hundreds of others simultaneously, sharing an exciting launch film about the project. Thunderclap is a clever website that makes this happen. With your help we will make a ripple which could travel all the way to Ethiopia! If you're not on Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr, don't worry - you can still take part. Simply visit our Thunderclap page here and share the page via email with friends and family. Live updates This week, we are going to be in Adi Sibhat, tweeting live from the field as the project begins. You will be able to meet the community for the first time and follow progress on our Facebook and Twitter pages. You can share these updates too. Thank you for spreading the word - we hope you are as excited about The Big Pipe Project as we are!
