WaterAid believes that privatization of water and sanitation services should not be imposed upon poor countries.

The right to water

WaterAid lobbied to establish the right to water and is now working to help the poorest people achieve that right.

Advocacy

WaterAid and its partners can only directly help a small proportion of those without water and sanitation worldwide. In addition to direct implementation work WaterAid aims to influence the policies and practice of the main decision-makers, donors and public, to gain their commitment to the provision of these basic services.
