As part of the Water Challenge, we're asking Australians to 'Drink Just Water' this March. Here's some recipe ideas to add a bit of healthy extra flavour to your water!

Take the Water Challenge! Drink just water for 14 or 30 days this March, to improve your health and help provide lifesaving safe water to some of the world’s poorest communities, as part of WaterAid’s Water Challenge.  Safe water is essential for life and good health, yet 650 million people worldwide don’t have access to it. The Water Challenge is WaterAid’s annual fundraising event in March, coinciding with World Water Day on 22 March, and it’s free to enter.

There are many benefits of drinking just water. The benefits include:
• Water improves digestion

• Water hydrates your body
• Water aids weight loss
• Water provides PH balance
• Water has antibacterial and antiviral properties
• Water reduces inflammation

One in ten people do not have access to safe, clean water, and many women and children waste hours each day walking to collect water. Safe water and sanitation underpin health, education and livelihoods, yet millions of people across the world live without these basic human rights.

Fundraising from WaterAid’s Water Challenge will go towards working with local partners to set up practical and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene solutions that meet the real needs of our near neighbours in Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea and Cambodia.
