After 2 years leading WaterAid Australia, ill health prompts Paul Nichols' resignation

Announcement of CEO Resignation

WaterAid Chief Executive Officer, Paul Nichols, has announced that he will be leaving the organisation because of ill health, after two years in the role. I would like to wish Paul best wishes on his road to recovery and thank him, on behalf of the Board, for his drive and commitment to bringing safe water, sanitation and hygiene to everyone everywhere.

There have been many achievements during the period Paul has lead the organisation, including growth in income from $9.9 million in FY14 to $13.5 million in FY16 and the expansion of our impact in the region. His leadership has positively impacted the lives of many people in the countries where we work.

The Board, staff and our stakeholders wish Paul all the best in the future and thank him for his passion and dedication to the organisation during his time as CEO.

Rob Skinner,

Chair, WaterAid Australia
