Workplace and Payroll Giving
Making a donation through payroll giving costs the donor less money, because the donation comes out of pre-tax salary. A monthly gift of $20 could cost as little as $14 (based on a higher-rate tax payer). This means that enabling more people to gain access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene education costs employees less.
Research shows that offering workplace giving to employees improves company image and increases staff morale, retention and recruitment. It also enables you to increase your company's charitable giving with little cost or effort, and allows you to monitor the funds raised by your company. Many companies match the contributions made by their employees, providing a significant boost to WaterAid's vital work.
