In 2004, WaterAid Australia became a member of the global federation, helping WaterAid make an even bigger impact around the world.
Today, the team coordinates and raises funds for our work in the Pacific and South East Asia, as well as supporting our work globally.
In Timor-Leste, we’ve been a driving force in getting the SaTo Pan – an affordable and efficient flush toilet – to isolated rural communities, transforming lives for good. In Papua New Guinea, we’ve harnessed the power of sport as a catalyst for change for girls and women, working with Netball PNG and the PNG Volleyball Federation. And in Cambodia, the team have been working with disability arts groups to challenge discrimination.
Behind all of this are our brilliant supporters, determined to make clean water, toilets and hygiene a normal part of daily life for everyone, everywhere within a generation.
