WaterAid is at an exciting time. With an ambition to bring clean water and safe sanitation to everyone, everywhere by 2030, there’s a need for greater engagement in all platforms with all people from different backgrounds; digital platform plays an important role in bringing the changes and engaging people! The Communications Officer- Digital Content Producer is a position in advocacy and communications team under the policy advocacy department, which leads on the engagement and development of relationships with government, private sector, individuals, networks and the community. The role plays a key part in the delivery of WaterAid’s Communications, Engagement and Social Media Strategy.

Education: Masters or equivalent degree in journalism, media communication or relevant subject from any recognised university.
Experience: At least 03 years’ working experience in reputed organisation in communications; core expertise in engaging, developing and designing content in digital and social media platforms with creative and appealing content fit for purpose.
Skills: Expert communications and engaging skills. Expert content developer – concept, copy, design and delivery. Skills to intelligently covert large complicated messages in crisp information is a must. Skills in designing software’s including adobe Illustrator, video editing software, along with excellent communications skills both in Bangla and English will be an advantage. Photography and cinematography skills will be an added value.
Competencies: Must be a team player with mutual trust and understanding in a mixed team, self-motivated, organised, problem solver, articulated, demonstrates gender and cultural awareness, efficient resource manager, effective communicator, capable to work under extreme pressure, juggling with blisteringly urgent priorities and meet deadlines.
Reportable to: Manager, Advocacy & Communications
Work station: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Work Tenure: Fixed term, initially for 02 years with a possibility of extension
Working hours: Full time (05 days a week with minimum 37.5 hours per week)
