On 30 July 2022, the award-giving ceremony of Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2022 took place at Ascott Palace, Dhaka. Awards were distributed among the winners in the presence of a limited number of contestants, student ambassadors, guardians, volunteers and invited guests.

Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize started in 2015. For the eighth time, House of Volunteers Bangladesh (HOV) together with WaterAid Bangladesh, organised this competition to engage young and promising individuals in water-related issues and research. This competition invites all high school and college students to create and present water-related projects that address local, regional, national, or global environmental, scientific, social, or technical issues. This year, 75 teams registered from all over the country and participated in consecutive mentoring sessions. After submitting their projects, 10 teams secured their spots to compete in the final competition which was held on 13 May 2022. Finally, Shegufta Mehjabeen from Adamjee Cantonment College won the title of National Champion after competing in face-to-face presentations at the final competition. Puspita Ghosh and Omar Karim were nominated for Best Ambassador Award.
