The South Asian Conference on Sanitation (SACOSAN) is a government-led biennial convention to provide a platform for interaction on sanitation.

Two years after the successful completion of SACOSAN-VI, SACOSAN-VII is scheduled to be organized in February/ March 2018 in Pakistan. This will be first proper regional opportunity after the adaptation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of UN members’ states.

SACOSAN-VII intends to provide an opportunity to reflect upon the SDGs and set new direction of sanitation discourse in the region. With an aim to embrace new thinking which transforms the institutions delivering sanitation & hygiene, and generate knowledge required to achieve these ambitions, the event is calling for research papers on selected thematic topics, prioritised by the secretariat/ICWG.

Papers submitted are expected to bring in new impetus in the wake of SDGs and push systematic knowledge agenda, further expanding outreach and harnessing available knowledge from various countries globally.

Details for the thematic topics and guidelines for research paper submission can be found here.

A detailed concept note for each theme has also been prepared to elaborate the regional perspective and scope of thematic papers to be submitted. Click here to find it.

Deadline: 1st week of December 2017
