Countrywide Clean Water and Sanitation Campaign launched

In partnership with Jaago Foundation and HSBC, WaterAid launches a new initiative to make clean water and sanitation an issue for all. Beginning this year-long initiative titled 'Countrywide Clean Water and Sanitation Campaign', the campaign will target 50 schools in 10 districts, with 20 Jaago Volunteers reaching thousands of students.

Through this initiative, young minds will be encouraged to increase WASH visibility at schools and in the community, and build healthy habits in the process. These volunteers will also voice issues of their community with duty bearers and decision makers at the district and sub-district level. 

To start off the campaign, WaterAid and Jaago staff carried out a two-day training from 18-19 July in Rangpur, providing these enthusiastic leaders with WASH related knowledge and sharing insights on raising awareness in schools and at community level.

WaterAid looks forward to an exciting campaign as these inspiring youth volunteers work towards achieving SDG 6, and a healthier Bangladesh!
