WaterAid signs MOU with Light of Hope
In a significant step toward improving public health and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6, WaterAid Bangladesh has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Light of Hope Ltd. to promote water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) awareness among children and adolescents. The MoU was signed by Ms Hasin Jahan, Country Director of WaterAid Bangladesh, and Mr Waliullah Bhuiyan, CEO of Light of Hope Ltd., in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
This partnership aims to empower the younger generation with essential knowledge and skills, fostering long-term improvements in public health. Under this partnership, WaterAid Bangladesh and Light of Hope will collaborate on the development of engaging and culturally relevant educational resources, such as children’s books and learning toys to raise awareness about crucial WASH practices, including handwashing and personal hygiene, among children aged 5-12 years. Additionally, the partnership will involve organising various events and programs to disseminate WASH knowledge widely among children.
This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in efforts to foster WASH awareness from an early age, contributing to a healthier future for Bangladesh.
