Get involved

Our partnership with the Scouts means an extra million hands are getting behind our goal of making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene a normal part of daily life for everyone.

Making a pledge

With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children can grow up healthy and strong. Women and men get to earn a living and whole communities start to thrive, giving people the chance to build a better future.

Scout groups across the country make a pledge to help make this normal for young people just like them around the world, and for their communities.

It was inspiring to see the Scouts working so effectively with WaterAid in Madagascar. They really are at the heart of the community, and it was clear to see they are well trusted by adults and children alike, meaning they could use their influence to help drive change.

Films and resources

Ernest, our Voices from the Field Officer in Madagascar, met Chief Scout Bear Grylls to teach him how to make a 'tippy tap', a brilliantly simple way to access running water for washing your hands.
