This Daan Utsav, lets give the most essential gift of clean water & good hygiene to improve millions of lives.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything we knew of everything. While millions of people who are fortunate have adjusted to the 'new normal’ and continue to lead a safe life in the comfort of their homes, there are millions of others for whom COVID-19 and the lockdowns have not been merciful. In fact, it wasn’t too great before COVID-19 either. But it has become tougher now.

How? Think of this. Good hygiene is essential for good health, but can you have it without access to clean water.

We take it for granted, right? But for millions of people with no direct access to water, it’s a daily struggle. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of access to clean water in keeping diseases at bay. Water scarcity has always been a problem in India and now with this pandemic, this problem is going to be greatly amplified making the already difficult issue of the pandemic even harder to tackle. WaterAid India has been standing strong with these people to help them lead dignified life. We may have come a long way, but there are still miles to go.

October 2-8 is Daan Utsav or the Joy of Giving Week presents us with a great opportunity to join forces and support those who are less fortunate than us. Your contribution and support to WaterAid will go a long way in ensuring access to clean water and good hygiene reaches everyone, everywhere.

What do WaterAid do?

  • Rural WASH
  • Urban WASH
  • WASH in schools
  • WASH in health & nutrition
  • WASH in disaster risk reduction & climate change adaptation Influencing long-lasting change is integral to everything that we do. We use our experience, our work with partner organisations and our learning through research and analysis to influence policy at local, state, national and global levels.
