National WASH Conclave 2022
Event information
When: 23-25 February 2022
Where: Virtual
Rapid investments in water, sanitation and hygiene by the government have led to a significant improvement in the lives of millions of people across India. The impact has been seen and felt by many, especially women, children and adolescent girls. The COVID-19 pandemic has also reminded us all about the importance of better hygiene in reducing mortality and improving last mile access.
The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) in collaboration with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, UNICEF, WaterAid and other development partners is organising a virtual conference to discuss sustainable WASH solutions in India. With participation from industry leaders and government stakeholders, the timing of this conference could not have come at a better moment.
This three-day conference will:
- Help to facilitate the learning and sharing of best practices for various WASH programs for scaling up
- Discuss and agree on a call for action for advancing WASH in Panchayats by all sector players
