The National Stock Exchange Foundation is a partner with WaterAid India in three projects that improve water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure in government-run residential schools.

Our partnership

The National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) is a leading stock exchange in India that works towards improving the financial wellbeing of people at large through a committed approach.

The NSE Foundation partners with WaterAid India to ensure a better tomorrow for future generations by working closely with government-run residential schools in three states - Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra over a three-year period. With the core theme of ensuring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, together we are also working towards menstrual hygiene, improved infrastructure and engaging with the children as strong water, sanitation and hygiene champions.

The programme involves children as vectors of change or WASH ambassadors, who understand the need for clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. They act as peer educators and spread the message across different ages. Additionally, through sessions, the School Management Committees (SMC) are strengthened on the need for good hygiene practices along with operation and maintenance of water, sanitation and hygiene facilities.
