An Assessment of Faecal Sludge Management Policies and Programmes at the National and Select State Levels 2017

Understand and assess the existing policies and identify key challenges and gaps in faecal sludge management while offering concrete recommendations to overcoming this acute national problem. Faecal sludge management (FSM), which has largely been overlooked in the past, needs immediate attention in order to address the huge gap that currently exists between sewerage infrastructure and the sewage generated in cities of India.
