Our strategy and approach
Our goal is to transform the lives of poor and marginalised people by securing their rights to access improved, inclusive and sustainable WASH services.
WaterAid Myanmar’s 2019 – 2023 Country Program Strategy aims to empower excluded and marginalised communities, particularly women, girls, persons with disabilities and ethnic minorities by ensuring their active engagement across all WASH programmes.
To demonstrate inclusive and sustainable WASH models and contribute to wider human development, we also work towards integrating resilient WASH into health, education, nutrition and models development.
Equality and empowerment
Equality and empowerment is critical to the success of our strategy, and cuts across all programmatic interventions. At WaterAid Myanmar, we believe in empowering communities by providing solutions that are durable and sustainable.
