Our work directly reflects Goal 6 of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals: water and sanitation for all.

Lack of access to water, sanitation and hygiene services undermines human rights, exascerbates poverty and will continue to leave the most marginalised communities behind.

The Sustainable Goal agenda is ambitious: 17 goals, 244 indicators. To achieve this feat of global development, we must recognise how progress in one area aids progress in another. Goal 6 – water and sanitation for all by 2030 – is one of the most interconnected goals. Increasing access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) aids economic development, poverty reduction, education, health and more.

That's why WaterAid Malawi works with policy-makers and civil society organisations across a variety of sectors, to make sure that WASH is included in all aspects of life.
