It’s hard to believe that today 844 million people don’t have clean water close to home, and over 2.3 billion don’t have a decent toilet of their own.  WaterAid is working with our partners and communities in our South Asia region: Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan - to bring access to water, sanitation and hygiene to everyone within a generation.

We are seeking a Regional Technical Advisor, South Asia, to play a vital role in making this happen. The postholder will have the opportunity to innovate in both service delivery and technical WASH solutions. At the same time they will collaborate with and learn from a community of technical experts across the globe.

The Regional Technical Advisor will be part of the senior management team and will lead on ensuring that the technical quality of delivery and technical competence of our country programmes and partners are consistent with best practice and global programme standards. As the technical lead, the postholder provides independent advice and assurance to senior programme staff and regional leadership to ensure scalable, sustainable and equitable service delivery across the region.
