Where can I find the app?

You will find the app in AppStore if you have an iPhone and in Google Play if you have an Android.

What is the name of the app?

Search for 'WaterAid' or 'March for Water', both works. When you have downloaded the app, just follow the instructions in the app, and don’t forget to let our app connect with your health app so that all your steps will be registered automatically. Health apps that works are Apple Health for iPhone, and Google Fit for Android.

I haven't updated my app from last year for this year's March for Water, how do I do that?

Search for 'WaterAid' or 'March for Water' in AppStore or Google Play. When you find the app, click on Update.

How do I log in?

Download the app to your phone and then click on the app icon. On the start screen, you can choose between Login and Sign up. If you already have a login, click Login. If it’s your first time, click on Sign up and enter your email address, then click next and enter your password twice, then click next and write your name that will be seen in the app. Done!

In the app you say that 71 SEK can be enough to pay for a tap - what does that mean?

71 SEK is a sum based on what it costs to buy a metal tap, when WaterAid and our partners install wells, pumps, handwashing stands and such in our programme countries.

Can I register activities that my mobile has not automatically registered?

Yes you can, go to settings, click on add steps by activity, then you can select the intensity of your activity and how many minutes you performed it. This is then converted into steps!

I signed in to the wrong company/group, can I change that?

Yes, go to settings and click group, then click group again, the list with all groups and companies will be shown and you can choose the right company and group. You can change this several times if you like, your steps will follow you to the new group.

Will my steps follow me if I change company or group?

Yes, if you have chosen the wrong group and want to change, your steps will follow you to the new group.

Can I change my profile name or password?

Yes, go to settings, click profile and change name. If you want to change your password, add your email address and you will get a link to change your password.

How do I delete my account?

In the WaterAid - March for Water app, go to Settings. Click on Profile and then Delete Account. Click on the Delete account button to delete all your user data and the groups and users you have created. You will also disappear from all lists and groups you are in.

Why does the app register the double amount of steps when I have my smartwatch or my activity bracelet on?

In some cases, Apple Health can’t determine what or from where the steps are registered. The easiest way around this problem is to leave either the phone or the smartwatch/activity bracelet at home when you walk for clean water.

I want to donate, how do I do that in the app?

You can easily donate by clicking the donate button. You will then be able to donate a sum of your choice.
