The people of Nepal need us more than ever.

On 12 May a second earthquake struck Nepal causing further destruction and devastation. The situation is now even more desperate, with many thousands of families living without safe water or sanitation.

Thousands of people have been killed or injured, and countless people have lost family members or their homes.

In emergency situations, we know it's crucial that people can access safe water and that human waste is safely disposed of. Without these measures, outbreaks of diarrhoea, cholera and typhoid can pose a serious risk to survivors long after the tremors have stopped.

We are helping to provide emergency assistance to approximately 88,000 people across eleven severely affected districts. We are also assessing the damage to water systems and latrines in the districts where we work in order to provide long term rehabilitation support.

With your support, we can help provide the critical water and sanitation supplies Nepal needs today, tomorrow and over the years it will take to rebuild. There is still so much more we need to do.

If we raise funds over and above the support needed in Nepal, your gift will be used to bring water and sanitation to those who need it the most.

Thank you.
