Preparing for long-distance cycling

Even on two wheels, 100 miles is a challenging distance to cover in one day. Our free training plans for beginners and experienced cyclists will get you ready for the starting line in no time.

This free plan for beginners, with little to no cycling experience, will gradually build up to a 5 hour ride over 12 weeks.

A plan for those with some experience of long-distance cycling. Over 12 weeks you'll vary your training between hills, threshold rides, rest and recovery exercise.

This guide will give an overview of some of the key elements of training, nutrition and conditioning to help you become the best cyclist you can be.
