Bring water, bring hope

Captain Tom's simple message of hope – "tomorrow will be a good day" – is at the heart of our work supporting communities around the world to access safe water.

With clean water comes hope – hope for children to go to school, for families to stay healthy, for people to grow the food they need, and for entire communities to experience a safer, brighter, more prosperous future.

Albert has bright hopes for granddaughter Tantely's future now their village in Belavabary, Madagascar has clean water:

When I was young I was always sick because the water was really dirty… I’m very healthy now and even seeing my grandchildren, I feel that they are really healthy. [Tantely] used to be late all the time, but now she even gets to school before the teacher. So, all I can say is that her life has gotten easier [since the taps arrived]. I want her to become a doctor.
Albert, Madagascar

By taking on your own Captain Tom 100 challenge for WaterAid, you can help transform tomorrow for the 785 million people around the world – that’s 1 in 10 of us – who still don’t have access to safe water and the life-changing possibilities it brings.

Thank you.
