Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon
The Palace Half offers a flat and picturesque course along the banks of the River Thames. Running at this historic venue offers not only a perfect opportunity to run a personal best but to visit one of the UK’s major tourist attractions.
Plus, when you run for WaterAid you'll be joining the mission to bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to everyone, everywhere within a generation.
How we'll help
To help support all our runners in the lead up to race day we’ve teamed up with the company RunningWithUs to provide you with a special training package.
As a member of our team you’ll receive:
- A bespoke training plan – suitable for your level of experience
- Email helpline – ask a coach your training, race, nutrition or injury questions
- Twitter and Facebook ask-the-coach services and webinar sessions.
That's not all. We'll also hook you up with:
- A personalised WaterAid running vest or technical t-shirt
- A fundraising pack to help you meet your targets
- Fundraising and event resources like balloons, collecting tins and banners
- Regular newsletters and emails to keep you updated
- The opportunity to wear our famous WaterAid tap and toilet costumes
- Support and advice from a dedicated member of the WaterAid events team.
Above all, we love hearing from you! If you have a question or just want to chat about your training, get in touch.
We've got a whole host of online plans, produced by RunningWithUs, to help you prepare for the race.
Congrats on securing your own place – we'd love to have you on board!
To join Team WaterAid you can either pop us an email at [email protected] to let us know you’d like to join our team, or you can set up an online fundraising page on JustGiving. They'll tell us you’re fundraising for WaterAid and we’ll get in touch to say thank you and send you a fundraising pack.
If you’ve registered for a charity place or got your own place in any of our events, you'll receive your very own WaterAid running vest a few weeks before the race.
If you're taking on a different event for WaterAid and would like us to send you a vest or jersey, please contact us at [email protected].
We've teamed up with leading sport and training coaches RunningWithUs to provide expert training plans, tips and advice.
We have bespoke training plans, put together by RunningWithUs, and you'll get direct access to the expertise of our professional coaches. Whether you’re brand new to running or a seasoned cyclist, we have a training plan to help you. If you have any specific training questions, you can contact RunningWithUs directly by emailing [email protected].
If you get a place on the WaterAid team we ask that you commit to raising £300. It might sound like a lot, but we'll be on hand with loads of tips and support to help you reach it - you'll get there in no time!
If you have your own place and decide to run for WaterAid, there's no minimum sponsorship amount.
We're really sorry to hear that – please contact our events team at [email protected] to let us know you won’t be taking part.
If you've raised money on JustGiving or VirginMoneyGiving, your job is done! All the online donations made to your fundraising page are automatically transferred over to WaterAid and allocated to your total.
If you've raised money offline, you pay your fundraising in online, or can send it in by making a bank transfer, sending us a cheque, or paying in your money over the phone.
If you’re making a bank transfer please use the following details:

If you’re sending in a cheque, please make it payable to WaterAid and send it to:
