The Scratch® Youth Messiah
Sing for Water events are community-based concerts, more commonly known as big sings. The first event took place in 2002 and was co-founded by composer Helen Chadwick and the Thames Festival Trust in London. The idea of the event is that singers and choirs learn music and songs separately and then come together for one big performance. Each singer commits to raising a certain amount of money as part of the event, and all the funds go towards our vital projects in Ethiopia, reaching some of the world’s poorest communities with safe water, taps and toilets. To date, Sing for Water events have raised over £1 million for WaterAid's work.
If you've raised money on JustGiving or VirginMoneyGiving, your job is done! All the online donations made to your fundraising page are automatically transferred over to WaterAid and allocated to your total.
If you've raised money offline, you can send in your fundraising by making a bank transfer, sending us a cheque, or paying in your money over the phone.
