Event information

Join people all over the globe going #Blue4Water this World Water Day! The money you raise will fund our projects all over the world, bringing clean water to communities for the very first time.

World Water Day is a global day of action and a chance to come together to remind the world of the one in nine people who don't have clean water close to home... yet.

Hundreds of people are already going #Blue4Water – from rocking up to work in the loudest blue outfit imaginable, to organising a blue themed karaoke night or a sponsored danceathon. All that the party's missing, is you!

World Water Day 2018

Did you know, if you lined up the number of people worldwide living without clean water close to home (844 million), the queue would stretch from Earth to beyond the moon?

And what does that mean exactly? It means long walks (especially for women and girls), reliance on dirty ponds and streams, illness and in too many cases, death.

This World Water Day we want you to take action and help shorten that queue.

How can I get involved?

  • Download our toolkit for help setting up your own fundraiser >
  • Spread the message online! Be sure to use #Blue4Water, #WorldWaterDay and tag @WaterAidUK in your social media posts so we can see the amazing work you're doing.
  • Get some inspiration from last year's World Water Day supporters! Check out Storify >

The money you fundraise will help us bring clean water to the 1 in 9 people worldwide without access to clean water.

Paying in your fundraising

Set up your World Water Day event on JustGiving and ask friends and family to donate on there.

If you’re collecting cash, use our paying in form to pay it in which you can download here.
