WaterAid Youth Ambassadors

Get involved

As a WaterAid Youth Ambassador, pupils will play a crucial role in helping us to achieve our mission by becoming the voice of WaterAid in their school and wider community.

At WaterAid, we know that we won’t achieve our mission to bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to everyone, everywhere without the help of young voices. That’s why we’re on the lookout for passionate young people in secondary schools across the UK who want to make a difference by joining our team as WaterAid Youth Ambassadors.

They’ll join a network of dedicated and passionate young people taking action to:

  • Educate their peers and wider community about the importance of clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to end extreme poverty and inequality.
  • Campaign for government action on the water and sanitation crisis.
  • Fundraise to support WaterAid’s work and mission.

And we’ll be here to support them every step of the way with new tools, tips and resources each term.

In all the countries where we work, we empower local young people like Sharon from Uganda (pictured above) to demand their rights to clean water and decent toilets, so they can put pressure on decision-makers. By taking action here in the UK, pupils will be working right alongside them.

If you want to empower your pupils as young leaders with a heart for global issues, register your school’s interest below. If you’re a pupil at a UK secondary school and want to know more, ask a teacher at your school to fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch shortly!
