As part of the Toilets Change Lives campaign, Kimberly-Clark, its toilet tissue brand Andrex® and WaterAid are working together to improve public toilet facilities in Bangladesh.

Our partnership

Ending extreme poverty and creating a healthier, more prosperous future cannot be done without clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

That's why WaterAid is working with Andrex® and Kimberly-Clark Professional* to provide new and improved public toilets in one of the world’s fastest-growing cities: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The project will help improve sanitation facilities and raise awareness of good hygiene practices in communities across cities such as Dhaka and Chittagong. Providing thousands of people with these basic human rights by 2020.

Here in the UK, Andrex® and Kimberly-Clark Professional* have committed to a minimum donation of £100,000 to WaterAid, contributing two pence for every special WaterAid pack of Andrex® Gentle Clean purchased in stores nationwide between 1st August 2018 and 31st January 2019.

 

The partnership in reality

In a pop-up event in 2017, WaterAid and Andrex® gave supermarket shoppers in England the chance to visit busy streets in Bangladesh, and experience what it feels like when there’s no toilet, by interacting with this 360° video.
