What our volunteers do
You could be keeping toilets across the site sparkling clean as part of our legendary Loo Crew, or helping to run the wom*n’s urinal area, explaining how to use PEEQUAL’s squat-and-go urinals while keeping the space clean and tidy.
Or you could be part of our shower cleaning team, making sure the shower blocks are clean, tidy, and ready for the next person to use.
Whichever role you take on, a key part of it is talking to festivalgoers, raising awareness of WaterAid and highlighting the importance of decent toilets and good hygiene – for everyone, everywhere.
What it's like to volunteer at Green Man
All volunteers camp in the WaterAid campsite, with access to toilets, showers, and a communal marquee with hot water. You’ll receive one meal voucher per shift, which you can redeem at crew catering*.
With its independent spirit, breathtaking location, and eclectic programming – spanning music, science, literature, comedy and so much more – Green Man truly is a festival like no other. And when you’re not on shift, you’re free to explore it all!
*Exact arrangements are subject to change; we'll be in touch with successful applicants to confirm details.
How to apply
Applications to join us this summer have now closed.
We're currently reviewing all applications and will be in touch with everyone by the end of April at the latest.
Once we've allocated places from the current round of applications, we may still have spaces available – in which case, we'll re-open applications. Keep an eye on this page, and join our Festival Volunteering Facebook group, for all the latest updates.
