WaterAid are relieved to hear that amateur rower Duncan Hutchison, who was rowing 3,500 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a self-built wooden boat to support WaterAid, is safe having been rescued after coming into difficulty during his epic charity challenge.
WaterAid and GOOD Agency have won the best global fundraising and advocacy campaign at the 2018 Campaigns for Good Awards for their outstanding, innovative Untapped appeal. The campaign, launched last November, raised a staggering £4.2 million that was matched by the UK Government to take the total above £8 million.
The release of today’s State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World report shows the number of undernourished people has increased from 804 million in 2016, to 821 million in 2017, an alarming figure which shows the world is woefully behind its target of ending malnutrition by 2030, WaterAid said today.
