Pa, from Madagascar, in class at school WaterAid/Ernest Randriarimalala

The Water Fight is all about making clean water and toilets a normal part of schools everywhere.

Lesson plans are particularly relevant to Geography and PSHE, and can be adapted to fit the usual duration of your lessons.

The lesson plan begins by asking the class to consider what is needed at school to have a good day. Pupils investigate why it’s important to have clean running water and decent toilets in school, and consider the impact on children like Pa (above) when these facilities aren't available at school.

The under 18s petition allows pupils to add their voice to the Water Fight Campaign, which is asking the UK Secretary of State for International Development to make sure all UK Government plans for schools globally include taps and toilets.
