WaterAid UK seeks to appoint three new trustees

Right now, 844 million people in the world don’t have clean water close to home and 2.3 billion people don’t have a decent toilet of their own. Together, with our partners and supporters around the world, we will change that.

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit organisation, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

We are now seeking to appoint three new trustees to join our UK Board, as some of our highly committed trustees reach the end of their terms.

We are particularly looking to appoint:

  • a trustee with legal experience
  • a trustee with international advocacy and campaigning experience
  • and a qualified accountant, who will also Chair our Audit Committee.

Our aim is to maintain a diverse and balanced Board. Trustees work on a pro-bono basis, and are asked to give around 10-15 days a year to WaterAid, including attendance at Board meetings in London 4 times a year.

"The Board’s driving conviction is to finish a Board meeting and know that together we advanced the water, sanitation and hygiene agenda further that day."
Vice Chair, Dr. Mala Rao MBE
