Everything, everyone, everywhere, has a tipping point. And when we reach that point, we can stand together and use our weight to tip the scales. That’s how things change.
Things that seem impossible. Things that are unjust, but we’re told to accept. Things that are normal to us, but shouldn’t be.
Together we’re making monumental progress on inequality; in the last two decades the number of people living in extreme poverty has halved. We’re changing what’s normal and we’re paving the way to a fairer world for generations to come.
To break free from poverty, people first need access to three things: clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. These are the foundations we all need to lead healthy lives and to set us up to be our best.
People like you are leading the way
Since 2000, collectively, the UK public has helped over 1.8 billion people gain clean water and 2.1 billion gain access to decent toilets globally. The UK plays a crucial part in working towards a fairer, more just world.
But at current rates of progress, it’ll be 2060 before everyone gets access to clean water. That’s just not good enough.
This is the tipping point
Let’s all come together and raise our voices once again, so we can reach everyone, everywhere with clean water by 2030. The clock is ticking, are you with us?
