If WaterAid has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches this paragraph, then WaterAid may, in its absolute discretion, decide not to consider it.
  5. The competition will open on Thursday 25 April 2024 and close at 12pm on Tuesday 7 May 2024 (‘the Submission Period’)
  6. Late entries will not be accepted.
  7. Multiple entries are allowed; each will be considered on its own individual merit.
  8. There is no purchase necessary to enter or be selected.
  9. WaterAid cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, not properly registered or recorded or cannot be delivered or entered into the Competition for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any server, Internet access, system or any other reason. Proof of sending the entry is not proof of receipt by WaterAid.

How the winner will be chosen

  1. A shortlist of designs will be selected by a panel of judges, including Glastonbury Festival's co-organiser Emily Eavis, on 7 May 2024.
  2. The panel’s decision on which designs to shortlist will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. The overall winner will then be chosen by public vote. Voting will take place online between Friday 10 May 2024 and Tuesday 14 May 2024.
  4. Details of the public vote and how to participate in it will be communicated on the WaterAid UK website (wateraid.org/uk/win-glastonbury-tickets) and via social media. See full terms and conditions for the public vote.
  5. WaterAid will contact the winner via phone and/or email on 14 May 2024, and once confirmed, will be announced publicly (including, but not necessarily limited to, on the WaterAid website and social media channels).
  6. WaterAid reserves the right to cancel the delivery of the prize if it believes the winner has breached any of the terms and conditions of the Competition.

Use of submitted designs

  1. All creators retain ownership of their work. However, by submitting it you hereby grant WaterAid a perpetual non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, broadcast (across all media), sub-license, support our global advocacy work and post the entry online, print or reproduce your entry and display on any other platforms including any yet to be envisaged. This licence will be deemed to include all the necessary rights and permissions to enable such use by WaterAid, and for WaterAid to complete the administration of this competition.
  2. During and after the Submission Period, your submission may be showcased to the public on the WaterAid’s website and social channels.
  3. You can contact WaterAid on 020 7793 4594 or via email at [email protected] to withdraw consent for the use of your artwork until your art is in the public domain as described in clauses 19 and 20, after which we will be unable to withdraw it.
  4. The terms of this competition do not guarantee that your work will be used by WaterAid at any point.
  5. WaterAid will credit the creator when sharing designs on the WaterAid website, on social media, and via any other media. In the case of the winning design, it will not be possible to credit the creator on the printed tattoo itself.
  6. If your design is chosen as the winning entry, you agree that WaterAid may:
    1. Resize, recolour, or otherwise adapt your design, with the sole purpose of ensuring it can be successfully printed as a temporary tattoo.
    2. Recolour any light blue areas of your design, to ensure consistency with the WaterAid brand.
    3. Reproduce your design as a temporary tattoo, and distribute it to members of the public free of charge at Glastonbury Festival 2024 and other advocacy opportunities in the UK, to support WaterAid’s climate change campaigning and advocacy work.
  7. In all cases, should WaterAid want to contact you, WaterAid will do using the details provided when you submit your entry. WaterAid will only contact you via an official WaterAid channel or account so please be vigilant of imitation accounts.
  8. All data will be processed in accordance with WaterAid’s privacy policy. WaterAid will use the details you provide to contact you in regard to your entry and the Competition.
