About our speakers
Our Speakers come from all walks of life, from students to retirees and everyone between. The one thing they all have in common is a passion for sharing WaterAid's work and sparking change, to help people living in some of the toughest places in the world transform their lives.
And that's just the start. We influence governments across the world to change laws, link national and international policymakers with people on the ground, and rally support from individuals and organisations around the world, making lasting change happen on a massive scale.

What do speakers talk about?
Our incredible team of 200 trained Speakers are experts in water, sanitation and hygiene – and together, they've delivered over 11,000 talks and educational workshops! Our volunteers can speak about a variety of aspects of WaterAid’s transformative work, including COVID-19, climate change, periods and menstrual hygiene, our work with women, the technologies we use, our advocacy work, and much more.
Our Speakers can also focus on key days of the year, such as World Water Day (22 March), Menstrual Hygiene Day (28 May), Global Handwashing Day (15 October) and World Toilet Day (19 November). We can also tailor sessions around topics of your choosing.
