Outlander Sweepstakes - OFFICIAL RULES

 

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT OR CONTRIBUTION NECESSARY. A PURCHASE, CONTRIBUTION, DONATION, OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

1.  PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The WaterAid Outlander Sweepstakes (\"Sweepstakes\") begins on June 15, 2018 at 12:00AM EST and ends on July 15, 2018 at 11:59PM EST (the \"Promotion Period\").

The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is WaterAid America, Inc. ("Sponsor"). By participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final,  binding, and non-appealable in all respects. Sponsor is responsible for the collection, submission or processing of Entries and the overall administration of the Sweepstakes. Entrants may look solely to Sponsor with any questions, comments or problems related to the Sweepstakes. Sponsor may be reached by email at [email protected] during the Promotion Period.


2.  ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of 50 United States or District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older (the \"Entrant\"). Sponsor, and its principles, employees, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (the \"Promotion Entities\"), are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win a prize. Household Members and Immediate Family Members of such individuals are also not eligible to enter or win. "Household Members" shall mean those people who share the same residence at least three months a year. "Immediate Family Members" shall mean parents, step-parents, legal guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.


3. PRIZES:
 

Grand Prize:  There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner who will receive a handmade quilt autographed by actor Tobias Menzies, two general admission tickets to the 2018 Outlander Convention in Secaucus,New Jersey, a photo op with Outlander actors Graham McTavish, Cesar Domboy and Stephen Walters, a tour of Sponsor’s  office located in New York, New York, and a WaterAid SWAG bag. (approximate retail value or "ARV": $550).  This Prize does not include any travel whatsoever from the Prize Winner’s location or any other location to and from Outlander Convention in Secaucus, New Jersey, or New York, New York.  The Prize Winner is responsible for any and all travel related to the Prize.   

 

Additional prizes: There will be five (5) runner-up winners who will each receive a WaterAid SWAG bag including a WaterAid t-shirt, tote bag and water bottle. (approximate retail value or "ARV": $10)

Only one (1) prize per person and per household will be awarded. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value if a prize described in these Official Rules is unavailable or cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, for any reason. The ARV of the prize represents Sponsor's good faith determination. That determination is final and binding and cannot be appealed. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items.
   
    This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia and Prizes will only be awarded and/or delivered to addresses within said locations. All federal, state and/or local taxes, fees, and surcharges are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize.
   

4. HOW TO ENTER:

There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes.  Entrants may enter by making a donation or without making a donation as follows:

 

  1. Automatic Entry with Donation: Visit the Experience Page {www.wateraid.org/us/Outlander} and follow the instructions to make a donation to the Sponsor during the Promotion Period (June 15, 2018 at 12:00AM EST through July 15, 2018 at 11:59PM EST). Entrants will be entitled to 1 entry for every $25 donation.  All donations are final and nonrefundable. There is no limit to number of entries per entrant. 
     
  2. Alternative Method of Entry Without Making A Donation: To enter the Sweepstakes online without making a donation, complete the form online at www.wateraid.org/us/sweepstakes-alternative-entry during the Promotion Period  (June 15, 2018 at 12:00AM EST through July 15, 2018 at 11:59PM EST) and submit it online as instructed.    To enter the sweepstakes via mail without making a donation, please mail your full name, address, email address, and telephone number during the Promotion Period (June 15, 2018 at 12:00AM EST through July 15, 2018 at 11:59PM EST), in an envelope with proper postage to WaterAid America, ATTN: OUTLANDER EXPERIENCE at 233 Broadway, Suite 2705 NY, NY 10279. There is no limit to number of entries per entrant. Each Entry submitted via mail must be postmarked during the Promotion Period and received by July 22, 2018.      

    Each Entry submitted online or via mail or email     [NT1] must be submitted separately.  Each Entry will be deemed equal to one entry. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or postage due mail or entries.

 

Donation Entry(ies) and Form Entry(ies) are collectively, “Entry(ies).” All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the entrant, any online entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account provided at the time of entry and/or registration, provided such account holder must still meet the eligibility requirements for the applicable Sweepstakes. The authorized account holder shall be the natural person to whom the applicable email address has been assigned by the Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

    Automated or robotic Entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be disqualified. All entries must be made by the Entrant. Any attempt by Entrant to obtain Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial contest/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void Entrant's Entries and that Entrant may be disqualified at the discretion of Sponsor. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. All online Entries must be submitted during the Promotion Period and received by the end of the Promotion Period in order to participate. All mail-in entries must be postmarked during the Promotion Period and received by July 22, 2018.  Sponsor's database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.
   

5. WINNER SELECTION: The Winner(s) of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received throughout the Promotion Period, or for those entries made via mail which are postmarked during the Promotion Period and received by July 22, 2018. The random drawing will be conducted by July 23, 2018 by Sponsor or its designated representatives, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning will vary depending on the number of eligible Entries received.


6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winner will be notified by email at the email address or phone number provided in the Entry Information approximately  one (1) business day after the random drawing. Potential Winner must accept a prize by email as directed by Sponsor within (2) weeks of notification. Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive email account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or Winner’s failure to adequately monitor any email account.

    Any winner notification not responded to or returned as undeliverable may result in prize forfeiture. The potential prize winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability, and a Publicity Release (collectively \"the Prize Claim Documents\"). No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except by Sponsor.


7. PRIVACY: Any personal information supplied by you will be subject to the privacy policy of the Sponsor posted at https://www.wateraid.org/us/privacy-policy. By entering the Sweepstakes, you grant Sponsor permission to share your email address and any other personally identifiable information with the other Sweepstakes Entities for the purpose of a publicly available Winners list.


8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Sweepstakes; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, camera, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Sweepstakes; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet or website or any combination thereof; (e) suspended or discontinued Internet, wireless or landline phone service; or (f) any injury or damage to participant's or to any other person’s computer or mobile device which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes or download of any materials in the Sweepstakes.  The Winner agrees that Sponsor shall not be liable for any loss or injury resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes, or the acceptance, use of any Prize, or participation in any event associated with or comprising a part of the prize, including any travel to and from any and all events and travel related to the Prize.

    If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part. In such event, Sponsor shall immediately suspend all drawings and prize awards, and Sponsor reserves the right to award any remaining prizes (up to the total ARV as set forth in these Official Rules) in a manner deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor. Sponsor and Released Parties shall not have any further liability to any participant in connection with the Sweepstakes.

9. WINNER LIST/OFFICIAL RULES: To obtain a copy of the Winner List or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to WaterAid America cc: Outlander Sweepstakes at 233 Broadway, Suite 2705 NY, NY 10279. Requests for the names of the winners must be received no later than one month after the Promotion Period has ended. For accessing a Winner List online, visit www.wateraid.org/us/Outlander. The winner list will be posted after winner confirmation is complete.

11.  SWEEPSTAKES RESULTS.  For Sweepstakes results, send an email to [email protected] or send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope after July 23, 2018, and before September 1, 2018 to Sponsor at the following address: WaterAid America, Inc., 233 Broadway, Suite 2705 NY, NY 10279 Residents of Vermont and Washington may omit return postage.
