WaterAid/Southampton University WaterAid Society

University is the perfect place to get involved in a cause you care about. Join us today, and help make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene a normal part of daily life for everyone, everywhere.

Many of us probably take clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene for granted. But millions of people still don't have these vital services.

We need to change this – and we need your help!

There are so many ways to support us. Setting up a WaterAid society. Organising your own event on campus. Taking part in our People Pipeline challenge with your friends, family or class mates. Just choose what suits you best.

What can I do?

Starting a WaterAid society on campus is both rewarding and good fun. It’s also a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and enhance your CV.

We currently have five societies at universities across the country:

If your university isn’t listed here, just email [email protected] to find out how to set up your own.

If you’re part of your university RAG, why not nominate WaterAid as your charity of the year?

You could also organise a one-off event like a skydive or a Jailbreak – where you have 36 hours to travel as far from your university as possible without spending any of your own money!

Have a question about RAG fundraising? Email Katrina from our universities team >

We always have bucket collections happening, so get in touch and get fundraising!

We’ll provide tap and toilet costumes, wigs, buckets and loads of motivation. We can also help you plan your event and apply for a permit.

To get involved, drop us a line at [email protected]

We were really happy to support WaterAid and our volunteers threw themselves into everything from a Jailbreak to skydives.

Being able to raise nearly £5,000 for this fantastic charity throughout the year was an amazing feeling.
Kieran, RAG President
