WaterAid’s story started in the UK, where we were founded by the water industry in 1981.
Today, our UK team coordinate and fund our programmes across Africa and Asia.
A big part of that is coordinating WaterAid's global response to COVID-19. As the pandemic threatens our global community, work to bring clean water, decent sanitation and good hygiene to everyone, everywhere has never been more critical.
Our global COVID-19 response
As well as continuing to work with our dedicated water industry partners, they’re building innovative partnerships, linking policy makers with people on the ground and developing our relationship with the UK Government, to secure lasting change on a massive scale.
They’re also on hand to help amazing supporters raise money and spread the word about clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
Whether that’s at Glastonbury Festival, at schools and universities or cheering from the side lines of the London Marathon, they know our supporters are at the heart of our work, changing millions of lives around the world for good.
