They serve a population of approximately 72,000 people with a geographic spread of 62,000 square kilometres, which is about 30% of Victoria.

The Victorian Water Industry Association, or VicWater, plays an important role in the Victorian water industry in influencing government policy, providing forums for industry discussions on priority issues, disseminating news and information on current issues to stakeholders, identifying training needs, and the production of performance reports and industry guides.
Wannon Water is Victoria's second largest regional urban water corporation by service area. The region extends over approximately 23,500 square kilometres from the South Australian border in the west, to Balmoral in the north, to Lismore in the east and the lower Gellibrand River catchment on the south coast.

Water Research Australia Limited (WaterRA) is a not-for-profit company, established and funded by its members, to undertake collaborative research of national application on drinking water quality, recycled water and relevant areas of wastewater management.
Western Water is one of Victoria's 13 regional urban water corporations, servicing Sunbury, Melton, Macedon Ranges, Bulla and Gisborne. Western Water provides water, recycled water and sewerage services to 58,200 properties over an area of 3,000 square kilometres and a population of 158,300.
