Workplace giving is a simple, tax-efficient scheme which allows employees to donate to any registered Australian charity of their choice directly from their salary, before tax.

Making a donation through payroll giving costs the donor less money, because the donation comes out of pre-tax salary. A monthly gift of $20 could cost as little as $14 (based on a higher-rate tax payer). This means that enabling more people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education costs employees less.

Research shows that offering workplace giving to employees improves company image and increases staff morale, retention and recruitment. It also enables you to increase your company's charitable giving with little cost or effort, and allows you to monitor the funds raised by your company. Many companies match the contributions made by their employees, providing a significant boost to WaterAid's vital work.

Sign up today to support our program in Cambodia

WaterAid’s Workplace Giving Program aims to raise essential funds to help establish and maintain water sanitation and hygiene projects in Cambodia, one of the poorest nations in Southeast Asia.

In Cambodia over half the population lack adequate sanitation and a third of the population do not have access to safe water.

Tragically, over 10,000 Cambodian children die each year from preventable diarrhoeal diseases.

The combined contribution of workplace giving from employees all over Australia will have a huge impact in poor Cambodian communities.
