WaterAid has been one of the beneficiary good causes of the Glastonbury Festival since 1994 and the new Hunter for WaterAid boot is set to build on the 2008 edition's success at last year's event, where performers, presenters and festival goers alike sported the style, including Elbow, Kings of Leon, The Fratellis, KT Tunstall, The Feeling, James Blunt, Lily Allen, Lily Cole and Kelly Osbourne.

This year, Hunter for WaterAid will be running a Welly Shy backstage at the famed Pyramid Stage, combining festival fun with raising awareness of WaterAid's work. A spin on the traditional British Fayre's Coconut Shy, participants will be invited to compete, knocking Hunter boots from their perch and make a donation to WaterAid. There will be a gallery of photographs from the weekend at  www.hunter-boot.com, check it out to see who is wearing the Hunter for WaterAid boots this year.

And for the first time, the Hunter for WaterAid boots will be exclusively on sale from TopShop Oxford Circus store and online at www.Topshop.com, in addition to www.Hunter-Boot.com, before Glastonbury.

Based on the widely recognised Original Tall Hunter boot, the new WaterAid design features water droplets cascading down the side, against a black background. All Hunter boots are natural rubber, have up to 28 parts applied by hand to each pair and are built on an orthopaedic last for the legendary Hunter fit. With constant research and development to increase performance and functionality, the Hunter boot is both practical and stylish. The cushioned foot bed enables support for those on their feet for long periods, highly relevant for hardy festival goers.

Mike Todd at Hunter Boot Ltd comments: "We are delighted to continue our support for WaterAid. Wellington boots and water have an obvious relationship, so the Hunter for WaterAid boot is a natural development to highlight their cause and help raise funds. We have made this Hunter for WaterAid boot a permanent offer within our product range, selling the boot globally which we hope will not only raise awareness but much needed funds for the cause."

£10 from each Hunter for WaterAid boots purchase will go towards WaterAid’s work in Madagascar. This vital support is helping improve the lives of people like Ikogane who explains how the community's new well has enabled them to start kitchen gardens:

"Before the well we had no kitchen garden", she says "there wasn't anything you could eat on this bit of land, there just wasn't enough rain to make things grow. We still don't have rain, but now we can water the plants ourselves. The great thing is that now we have a garden we can eat a greater variety of vegetables rather than just manioc which we ate before. We are eating a more varied diet which is much healthier - we know our families will be healthier. We can also sell some of our vegetables and so make some money in that way."

WaterAid's Naomi Irving adds: "We're pleased to be building our relationship with Hunter, with the fantastic new Hunter for WaterAid boot and joint activities lined up at Glastonbury festival. We enjoy a long relationship with the Glastonbury festival, helping to ensure that toilets are maintained, thirsty festival goers are watered, as well as raising awareness of WaterAid and its campaigns. The festival offers WaterAid an amazing opportunity to spread the word to thousands of festival goers about the importance of clean water, safe sanitation, and hygiene education."

The Hunter for WaterAid boot is set to be the Glastonbury Festival essential, keeping the crowds dry, comfortable and stylish, while doing their share for this prestigious charity – the ultimate in feel good fashion.
